Check-In Figures by Category Count Each Person Once

The “Check ins per day by category” table and “Check ins over time by category” graph in Insights > Event Check In give an accurate count of who checked in to your event, so you can compare Categories with confidence:

  • Each person counts once per Category, for the event you’re viewing only. A person in two Categories counts once in each.
  • Badge reprints, and people in the same Category in another event, such as a duplicated event, aren’t counted.
  • The table’s columns match your event’s dates, in the event’s timezone.
  • If your event’s per-day interaction settings include setup on the first day, badges printed before the event count towards Day 1, matching Badges Printed Per Day.
  • Every Category shown in your reports appears in the table, with 0 against any date without check-ins.
  • Shared Dashboards show the same figures as Insights.

Each total reflects the people who checked in to this event, so figures may be lower than those you’ve exported or shared before.

For events in timezones west of UTC, such as Los Angeles, per-day date labels show the correct day in:

  • The “Check ins per day by category” and “Interactions per day by category” column headings
  • The People With Interactions Per Day and Badges Printed Per Day cards on the Event App dashboard
