Release 9.59.0
New Feature
Image-Only Digital Signage Screens
A Digital Signage screen can now display a static image without being linked to a location. This suits directional and welcome signs in foyers and central halls, and keeps your location data clean, as no placeholder location is needed.
Agenda Layouts for Digital Signage
Screens support Agenda layouts, like an airport departures board, showing what’s on across several locations. A screen can be linked to up to six locations, and a session table can combine their sessions into one list. They work well at the entrance to a group of session rooms, in hallways or in the expo.
Screen Rotation for Digital Signage
Each screen has a rotation setting, with options for 90° clockwise, 90° anticlockwise and 180°, shown left to right below. Use it when a display, such as a rented or fixed screen, is mounted in a way that it cannot be rotated to match.
Rotation is off by default. The screen preview in the portal shows the result before you save.
Improvement
Find Signage Screens by Name or Location
Search the Screens list by screen name or location name, as well as by ID or reference, to find every screen at a location. You can also sort the list by screen name or location name. When sorting by screen name, unnamed screens appear at the bottom, so named screens are easy to scan.
Category Order Warning in Bulk Action Presets
When you build a Bulk Action Preset, a warning appears if a Remove Categories action comes before an Add Categories action.
Every person must keep at least one category. A person who holds only the category being removed keeps it, and the change doesn't apply to them. Placing Add Categories first means the change applies to everyone in the selection.
You can still save the preset despite the warning.
Redesigned Email Template Page with Campaign Usage
The redesigned Email Template detail page now lists every campaign that uses the template, including triggered and scheduled campaigns, so you can see where a template is used before you edit it.
A link opens the Campaigns page filtered to that template, and the Campaigns page has a template filter for finding any template’s campaigns.
Sidebar Navigation for Portal Settings
Settings sections appear in a vertical sidebar on the left instead of tabs across the top. Sections are grouped under four headings: Users and Devices, Customisation, System Settings and Integrations. Each section has its own icon.
The content of each section is unchanged. Users see only the sections they have permission for, and existing links to specific settings sections continue to work.
Refreshed Event Navigation
The left-hand event navigation has a refreshed design. Each item has its own icon, long names wrap instead of being cut off, and the selected section is highlighted.
Groups, items, their order, permissions, and destinations are unchanged.
Manage Traits Picker Built for Large Trait Sets
The Manage Traits picker on Sessions and Vendors handles large trait sets, including events with hundreds of Trait Types.
- Each Trait Type is a collapsible section that shows what's selected within it.
- Trait Types with many traits can be filtered and shortened instead of listed in full.
- A search across Trait Type and Trait names helps you find a single trait quickly.
- Selected types that have unmet requirements will appear at the top of the picker.
- You can review and change your selection without closing the picker.
Cancelled Registrations Release Product & Item Stock
When a registration is cancelled, its products and items stop counting towards stock used and become available again. You don't need to add stock back manually. This applies however the registration is cancelled:
- in the portal
- by bulk change
- by import
- through Programs
- through the Ingest API
Purchased products and items not yet allocated to an attendee still count towards stock used. Reversing a cancellation counts its products and items towards stock again.
To correct a cancelled free registration order, find it in the Free Registration list, where cancelled orders appear and can be searched.
Portal operators can reverse the cancellation of a free registration order. Reversing it restores the product, its inclusions and the attendee's event registration, so you can correct a cancellation made in error.
