New Features

Classify Sessions & Vendors with Traits

Traits let you tag Sessions and Vendors with your own Custom Labels, giving you a flexible way to organise event data, control what appears in the event app, and share structured information with your own systems.

  • Group related Traits under a Trait Type (for example, "Industry") and choose whether it applies to Sessions, Vendors, or both
  • Set whether a Trait Type is required, whether it allows one or multiple selections, and whether it displays in the Event app
  • Add Trait Types as columns in the Session and Vendor list views to sort and audit your data before an event goes live
  • Trait data can also be shared with your own system. For example, to trigger a matching action in your CRM for specific Sessions

Trait Types are set up under Event Configuration.

Vendor List View Refresh & Consolidated Bulk Actions

The Vendor list view has a cleaner layout and simpler bulk management.

  • The list shows Vendor Name, Email Domain, Leads, and Sponsored Sessions by default. Additional columns are available via Customise Columns.
  • Vendor names display in full.
  • New filters, including "Has Primary Email" and "Is Sponsoring Session," help you narrow long Vendor lists.
  • A single Bulk Actions menu lets you enable or disable Vendor portal access, lead capture, and lead-capture emails across multiple Vendors at once, including every Vendor in a filtered view, rather than updating them one at a time.

Track Bulk People Changes in Event Logs

Event Logs now include an expandable summary for bulk changes made to People records, such as a Category applied or a Custom Field value set. Each entry links through to Advanced Search, filtered to show exactly which records were affected.

Associate Pages with an Event

Pages can be linked to a specific event.

  • Filter and group the Pages list by event
  • Create a Page directly from within an event
  • Users with Event-scoped access see only the Pages linked to their event(s)

This makes Pages easier to manage for teams running registration across multiple events.

Improvements

Programs Can Reflect Cancelled Status Directly

A new "Cancelled" membership condition lets a Program return a Cancelled status based on a Person's cancelled state, without requiring a dedicated Cancelled category.

See How Many Records Are Selected in Advanced Search

When making a bulk change in Advanced Search, a running count shows how many records are selected, with the total confirmed again before the change is applied.

Session Updates API Includes Sponsorship Data

The Session Updates API returns whether a Session is sponsored and which Vendor it's linked to. This is available as merge fields for use in your own integrations.

Vendor Lead Export Includes Sponsored Session Data

The bulk Vendor Lead Export (available to trusted and above user roles) includes a column showing the Sponsored Session each lead attended. This release also fixes an issue where the download button did not activate once the export had finished processing.

Google Wallet Passes Display Event Start Time

Google Wallet passes display the event Start Time (for example, "Mon 12 – Wed 14 May"), both when the pass is added and on the pass itself, bringing them in line with Apple Wallet.

Custom Field "Allow Other" Option Defaults to No

When creating a custom field, the Allow Other option defaults to No and can be changed to Yes when needed, reducing the risk of fields being saved with an unintended configuration.

Import & Export Session Skill Level via CSV

Skill Level can be set across many Sessions at once using CSV import and is included in Session CSV exports, removing the need to update Sessions individually in the Portal.

Community Dashboard Refresh & Portal-Managed Share Links

  • Clearer labelling: "Session Check In" is now labelled "Session Attendance," and "Apple Wallet" is labelled "Saved Wallet Passes" to reflect that both Apple and Android passes are counted.
  • Onsite Registration widgets and columns are hidden when their count is zero, reducing clutter for events that don't use that registration type.
  • The Session table can be filtered by past, current, and upcoming sessions, making large agendas easier to navigate.
  • Dashboard share links can be created and managed directly from the Portal. A share link can be given to anyone who needs dashboard access without a Portal login and expires 24 hours after the event end date by default. Only one active share link can exist at a time.

Attendee e-Ticket QR Codes in Updates API Notifications

If you generate your own Event Tickets, you can include an attendee's QR code identifier in EventPerson updates from the Updates API. A blank value is returned if no QR code has been assigned.

Portal CSV Exports Display Foreign Characters Correctly in Excel

CSV exports containing non-English characters open correctly when viewed directly in Excel.

Vendor Display Name Available in the Updates API

The Vendor Display Name field is available in the Updates API, so Vendor data can be exported and re-imported via the Portal when needed.

Known Defect

  • Deleting a Location linked to Screens is blocked, with an explanatory message, preventing orphaned Screens.
  • Time-based campaign filters (such as Registered After) apply the correct time on first selection, regardless of the difference between your timezone and the event's timezone.
  • Static Text badge elements restored from Inactive Elements print correctly on badges.
  • The Save button on the e-Ticket Template creation screen no longer creates duplicate Templates when clicked more than once.
  • In Insights > Audience, switching between Custom Fields updates the chart correctly.
