Jomablue CX and Name Labels
Using Jomablue CX and a connected Brother printer, you can print white or clear adhesive Name Labels for your Attendees.

Set up a Brother Printer QL-820NWB
- Unpack all contents and remove all plastic
- Open the printer cover and pull the paper tab indicating that it requires removal
- Unbox / Unwrap a paper roll and insert it into the printer. Ensure the Roll Spool arms are inserted firmly in the Roll Spool Guides. Then feed the paper through the Printer.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer. Make sure the green status light comes on.
- Use the [▲], [▼] and [OK] buttons to set your language, the time and date as prompted. This should take you to the main screen.
- Press the [Menu] button.
- Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select Bluetooth > Bluetooth (On/Off) > On in the settings menu. Press [OK].
- Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select Bluetooth > Automatic Reconnection > On in the settings menu. Press [OK].
- Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select Template Settings > Template Mode > Off in the settings menu. Press [OK].
- Press the [↩] button to return to the main screen. You should see the Bluetooth icon in the top right.
This section provides information on how to attach the battery (optional). If you're not using a battery pack, use the printer power adaptor provided.
When using the battery pack, the original printer power supply will still be required to recharge the battery.
Battery Model: PABU001
- Turn the printer off
- Remove the small plate on the bottom of the printer. This is the cover of the battery terminals.
- Slide the Battery onto the bottom of the printer
- Screw in the 4 holding screws
Configure Bluetooth
- Locate the Bluetooth printer in iOS Settings -> Bluetooth under 'other devices'.
- After connecting to it on your iOS device, launch Jomablue CX
- Go to Settings > Badge Printing and select your printer
- If the printer is not available, hold the feed button on the printer for 4 seconds until you see a flashing LED. This enters the printer into pairing mode.
Name Label layout options
Follow these steps to make changes to the layout of the Name Label:
- Log into the Jomablue CX app
- From the Events list, select the cog icon to access Settings (top right)
- Select Badge Printing
- Pair your printer via Bluetooth
- Configure the layout of the label:
- Label alignment
- Badge rotation
- Print (optional):
- Job Title
- Company
- QR Code
- Left Custom Field
- Center Custom Field
- Right Custom Field
- Show Border on Print Test
- Print Test Badge
- Reset default settings
How many Badges can I print per roll?
How many badges you can print per badge roll depends on which layout you choose for your badge design. Both the
DK-22205 and DK-22113 are 62mm x 15,240mm (15.2 meters) in length.
- Layout A - 30mm high; approx 500 Badges
- Layout B - 45mm high; approx. 330 Badges
- Layout C - 55mm high; approx. 270 Badges
- Layout D - 65mm high; approx. 225 Badges
Print the Name Label
- Log into the Jomablue CX app
- Select the required event
Note: Ensure the event shows Downloaded (in green). If not, select Download event. - Use one of the options below to locate a person:
- Scroll through the displayed list
- Select the QR code scan icon at the right side of the search field
- Use the Search field by entering the First Name, Last Name or Company
- Select Check-in
If the Name Label doesn’t print, follow these steps:
- Return to Settings > Badge Printing and confirm the printer has been enabled
- A printer ID will be displayed under Printer and a green dot
- Select this printer and ensure a blue tick is displayed next to the printer ID. If not, select the printer to activate the blue tick.
- A Name Label should now print when you mark a person as Checked In
Add a new person
- Select the + icon at the top right
- Populate the fields as prompted
- Select Check-in Immediately (optional)
- Select Add person (or Add person and Check In if the above is selected)
Notes:
- You can reverse a Checked In status by selecting the person and selecting the 3 dots (More) on the top right. An option is available to Reverse Check In.
- The position of fields and font size are not customisable other than centred or left-aligned
- For a Name Label to print, the Brother printer must be connected to your IOS device and enabled in Jomablue CX

PIN Codes
If your device does not have a device PIN code on it, you may be prompted to add one.
Brother QL-820NWB Battery & Charging
The Brother QL-820NWB printer runs on battery power and should last roughly 10 hours on moderate use, although we have experienced 2 days of battery life in some cases.
Note: We recommend always keeping the charger available and charging overnight between event days.
Check Battery Life
The printer must be powered on. The battery life is indicated on the top right of the screen.
Charge the Printer
Using the Brother power pack, plug it into the following port on the back of the printer.
