SMS and Email Sender IDs
Custom SMS Sender IDs and Email Sender IDs for communications must be configured prior to the event. A dropdown field of IDs, usually configured for previous events, is displayed for users to select when creating a new event.
Apply a Sender ID to an Event
The Sender ID for Email and SMS can be applied to an event in Event Configuration > Settings in the left navigation.
Dropdown fields display the available options for this Jomablue instance. Select one for each form of media you wish to use at your event.
Manage Sender IDs
Via the event selection page of Jomablue portal (click on your Event Name and Switch event), a user can go to the instance's Organisation Settings and scroll to the Sender IDs section. A list of existing Sender IDs is displayed.
Within Sender IDs, a user can also request new SMS or Email Sender IDs, as follows. The Jomablue Support Team will process new Sender ID requests and update the status as the request progresses.
Note: The timeframe to process is indicated in the request section and is dependent on third parties and other countries.
Request a new SMS Sender ID
Within the Sender IDs section of Organisation Settings, select the + and the option to request a new Sender ID will be displayed at the bottom of the list of existing SMS Sender IDs.
Review the notes and enter your requested SMS Sender ID. Press the Request Sender ID button to submit the request.
Note: For additional information see the article: SMS Sender ID - Country-Specific Information.
Request a new Email Sender ID
Within the Sender IDs section of Organisation Settings, select the + and the option to request a new Sender ID will be displayed at the bottom of the list of existing Email Sender IDs.
Review the notes and enter your requested Email Sender ID. Press the Request Sender ID button to submit the request.
View the status of a Sender ID
Within the Sender IDs section of Organisation Settings, the status is displayed to the right of each Sender ID. The Jomablue Support Team will update the status as a request progresses.
From here you can also expire any Sender IDs you no longer wish to use. Once a Sender ID has expired it must be reapplied for if required.
