Trait Types

Trait Types let you classify Sessions and Vendors for filtering and reporting, so attendees can find what interests them and your team can sort and review your programme. Each Trait Type groups related Traits, which are the individual values you apply to a Session or Vendor. For example:
| Trait Type | Traits | Applies to |
| Level | Level 100, Level 200, Level 300 | Sessions |
| Industry | Engineering, Publishing, Pharmaceutical | Sessions |
| Sponsors | Gold Sponsors, Silver Sponsors | Vendors |
| Products | Software, Hardware, Service & Maintenance | Vendors |
Traits can be used to:
- filter Sessions in the Community Agenda (see the article Session Canvases)
- filter Vendors in the Community Vendor listing (see the article Vendor Canvases)
- show flags in session lists and on session and vendor detail screens (when Use as flags is on)
- add columns to the Session List View (see Customise the List View in the article Managing Sessions)
