Vendor Canvases are fully customisable however we recommend creating a standard template and duplicating that canvas for each Vendor. This provides consistency for Community users.

Publish Exhibitors or Sponsors in Community

Once you have created your Exhibitors or Sponsors in Jomablue, you can add them to your Community. This step is necessary for attendees to access your Exhibitor or Sponsor profiles in your Community.

To make an Exhibitor or Sponsor visible in the Community, toggle the Visible in Community to Yes.

Below is an example of a Vendor Details Page that provides a detailed view of a vendor record.

Populate Exhibitor or Vendor Details for the Community

The following fields are displayed in Community, and we recommend completing all fields included in the Exhibitor Detail for each Exhibitor. Additionally, when saving an Exhibitor, you will be prompted to provide the Exhibitor domain name. This is used for lead exports but will not be displayed in the Community.

  • Name:  Name of the Vendor. This is displayed in Jomablue.
  • Lead Export Email Domain: The email domain of the Vendor where leads will be sent
  • Display Name: The vendor name displayed to Community users, often the same as the Name
  • Website:The URL of the Vendor's website. When populated, it becomes a clickable button on their Vendor profile in Community
  • Vendor Card Link Label: Not required in Community
  • Card Link Type: Not required in Community
  • Card Link External URL: Not required in Community
  • Vendor Logo: image specifications: 500x500px png or jpg. This is displayed in the Vendor listing and on Featured Vendor Blocks.
  • Community Header Image: This is displayed on the Vendor detail page in Community. Image specifications: 2880px x 270 px.
  • Community Background: This is the background image displayed on their Vendor Canvas. Image specifications: 2000px x 2000 px or 400px x 400 px for a repeating image
  • Description: A rich text editor to add text and/or upload an image, which is displayed on the Vendor detail page

An Exhibitor logo is not required, but it is highly recommended to enhance user experience.

If a website address is not provided, Community members will not see the "Visit Website" link. Similarly, Community Header Image can be used as a Banner Image; while it is optional, its use is encouraged for a better user experience.

Here is an example of an Exhibitor Profile in the Community:

In addition to the Exhibitor Detail page, each Exhibitor can have a link to an Exhibitor Canvas. This is a fully customisable page that can include various content blocks.

Display Order

In the Vendor List within the Community, Vendors are displayed in alphabetical order. If you wish to group different Vendors (e.g., by Sponsorship Level or any other relevant category), these Groups will also be displayed in alphabetical order.

Customisation

While "Vendors" is the term typically used at Jomablue to refer to booth owners in your Exhibition or Expo, you can customise how they are referred to within the Community. The platform also supports language customisation, allowing you to modify how vendors are addressed.

Setup Vendor Groups and Traits

You may want to display the Vendors listing in Community based on sponsorship level, type of Vendor, or product type. This is managed through Vendor Groups. Vendors can be viewed by selecting the appropriate option in the left navigation of Community.

Alternatively, you might allow Community attendees to filter their view of Vendors by one or more types. This functionality is managed through Vendor Trait Types, and the filter option is available to Community users at the top left of the Community Vendors page.

Vendor Groups

Vendor Groups are single-level groupings, and you can create as many groups as needed. All Vendors will be displayed within their assigned groups unless Vendor Traits filtering is applied or a Vendor is set to be non-visible in Community.

Create Vendor Groups

To create a Vendor Group:

  1. Navigate to Community > Vendor Groups in the left navigation menu
  2. Click the New Vendor Group button at the top-right of the page.
  3. Enter the Vendor Group Name
  4. Assign a number at Vendor Group Sort Order to determine the display order of the Vendor Group.

Note: The lowest number appears at the top of the list.

Add Vendors to Groups

You can drag and drop a vendor directly from the Vendor listing on the right side to a Vendor Group.

Alternatively, use the expand options (the arrows to the left of the Vendor Groups) and click the + option to add Vendors.

Vendor Trait Types and Traits

To filter the Vendors listing in Community, you can assign Traits to them. This allows attendees to display a subset of Vendors using multiple filters. Vendor Traits provide 2 levels of grouping.

Vendors can be assigned to multiple Trait Groups and Traits. For example:

Trait Type: Sponsors

Traits: Gold Sponsors; Silver Sponsors

Trait Type: Business Type

Traits: Public Companies; State Government; Federal Government; Not For Profit

Trait Type: Products

Traits: Software; Hardware; Service & Maintenance
Note: A Vendor can belong to more than one Trait.

Create Trait Types

Trait Types (Level 1 grouping) are used to categorise Traits (Level 2 grouping). For example, a Trait

Type may be “Sponsors,” with Traits such as “Gold Sponsors” and “Silver Sponsors” within it.

Vendors are then assigned with a Trait.

Trait Types must be created before Vendor Traits can be assigned. To create a Trait Type:

  1. Navigate to Community > Traits
  2. Click the New Trait Type button at the top right of the screen
  3. Enter the name of your Trait Type
  4. Activate the Trait Type by enabling the toggle under Flags to display it in Community
  5. Click Save
    Example: Sponsors

Create Traits

Once a Trait Type is created, you can add Traits by clicking on the New Trait button at the top right of the screen. Alternatively, you can click on the + to the left of the Trait Type.

Example: Within the Sponsors Trait Type, you could create Traits for Gold Sponsors and Silver

Sponsors.

Assign Vendors to a Trait

You can drag and drop a Vendor from the Vendor listing on the right side to a Trait Type.

Alternatively, you can expand options (using the arrows next to the Trait Types and Traits) and click the + option to add Vendors.

Example: Within the Sponsors Trait Type, under the Trait for Gold Sponsors, you can add any of your Vendors.

Notes:

  • Vendors are displayed alphabetically within Vendor Groups and TraitsA Vendor can exist in multiple Trait Groups or Traits
  • Vendors that do not belong to any Vendor Group are displayed in a final group without a heading
