You consent to our collection; use; and disclosure of your personal information as detailed in this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must not provide your personal information to us, as this may affect the services we can provide.
In this Policy, the term ‘disclose’ includes transferring, sharing, sending, or otherwise making your information available or accessible to another person or entity.
We may occasionally change this Policy, so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you are happy with any changes. By using our website, products or services, you agree to be bound by this Policy.
Who are we?
We are Jomablue Pty Ltd ACN 109 385 079 (in this Policy referred to as ‘Jomablue’, ‘we’, ‘ours’ or ‘us’), an Australian proprietary company limited by shares, with its registered office at Suite 73, 330 Wattle Street, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia. We provide software to assist event organisers in delivering the event and allowing them to better understand how event attendees engage with these events.
What personal information do we collect?
Generally, the personal information we collect is needed to facilitate your attendance and enhance your experience before, during and after an event organised by a third party. For example, we may collect details such as your name, professional address, and contact details (e.g., telephone number and email address) to provide you with a Smart Badge, which allows you to access the event and exchange your personal information with other delegates or exhibitors electronically. We may also collect details about the exhibitors you have chosen to provide your details to, the areas of the event you visit, and the times of your arrival and departure. We do not collect sensitive information such as religious beliefs or affiliations, criminal records, or health information. Any credit card information you provide as part of a purchase is collected by a third party, not by us.
How do we collect personal information?
We collect personal information directly from you or from someone providing it on your behalf. This information is usually collected when you buy a ticket or register to attend an event or when you request information from us.
In some cases, we may need to collect your personal information from a third party, such as when you register for an event with a third party. Where this occurs, we will assume you have consented to your personal information being collected and handled in accordance with this Policy. If you become aware that your personal information has been provided to us by another person without your consent, please let us know immediately.
How do we use personal information?
We mainly use your personal information to facilitate the provision of goods and services concerning your attendance at an event, both before and after the event. We may also use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Regulatory reporting and compliance where that is integral to your attendance at the event
- Developing, improving, and marketing our products and services to event organisers
- Conducting research and gauging customer engagement and participation in event activities
- Analysing trends in attendance at events
- Other purposes required by law (e.g. prevent a threat to life, health, or safety)
We are only allowed to store your personal information for as long as necessary having regard to the purpose for which it was collected. Therefore, we may delete or destroy your personal information after a reasonable time. If you have not used our services for some time, you may be required to re-enter or provide your personal information so that we can continue to deliver our services or those services of a third-party organiser.
Is personal information disclosed to third parties?
Your personal information may be disclosed by us to third parties in the following circumstances:
- In each of the circumstances set out in the previous section ‘How do we use personal information?’
- As permitted or required by law
- To third-party suppliers of IT-based solutions that assist us in providing services to you (e.g., email and SMS delivery engines)
- To third parties for the purpose of analysing trends in participation in conferences, seminars, and exhibitions
Aside from these situations, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent, unless we reasonably believe such disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life, health, or safety, or for certain actions to be undertaken by an enforcement body (e.g., prevention or punishment of criminal offences). Disclosure may also be authorised or required by law or disclosure or permitted under applicable privacy laws.
