Organisational Settings

Any branding set at the organisational level should reflect your organisation or company, rather than a specific event. Your Jomablue instance can host multiple types of events - virtual, in-person and hybrid - so it's best that the content here is generic and reusable across your events.

Note: These settings relate to the og:protocol. More information can be found here.

Edit Organisation Settings

You can access all these settings under Community > Settings > Organisation-wide Community Settings > Edit Organisation Settings.

Clicking on Edit Organisation Settings will open a pop-up window. Below is a description of all the fields:

Community Name

  • Recommended: Up to 20 characters
  • The name that appears under the icon on a device’s home screen. It shouldn’t be the name of a specific Event but rather a generic name for your company or brand, as it will contain multiple Events.
  • Please note: iOS displays a max of 13 characters under the home screen icon.

Community Author

  • Recommended: Up to 30 characters
  • This is displayed on some platforms when sharing the link and would generally be your company name.

Community Description

  • Recommended: Up to 100 characters
  • This description appears when the link is shared on social media, chat programs and other websites. It should be plain text and generic, not tied to a single Event.

Show Default Event (Installed Community App Only)

  • Select a default Community event without revealing which other events are also active

Community Social Share Image

  • Must be 1200 x 630px (PNG)
  • Displayed when Community link is shared via social media channels and chat programs. This serves as the og: image and should encompass your brand or the brand’s Community rather than a single Event.

Community Icon

  • Must be 512 x 512px (PNG)
  • The Community icon is displayed on:
    • User's home screen when the app is saved
    • The community icon appears as a favicon, the tab icon on the webpage
  • It should reflect your brand, not a single Event, as it will contain multiple Events.

Recommended Browsers

The following browsers are supported when using Jomablue:

  • Chrome 90
  • Safari 14.1
  • Edge 90
  • Firefox 88
  • Opera 75

Internet Explorer is not supported due to security concerns.

Jomablue recommends using an updated browser to avoid security vulnerabilities and avail new features supported by the latest versions.

Jomablue Platform Idle Time

The default idle time in the Jomablue Portal is twenty minutes. After this period, the user will automatically be logged out and will need to log in again using their credentials.  This idle time is set according to recommendations from the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project), one of the most authoritative web application security standards organisations.

Increasing Default Idle Time in Jomablue

Please ensure that you’re aware of the security risks involved in increasing idle time. You can request a Jomablue Project Management team to increase the idle time. It may require at least two weeks to increase the Idle time as it requires re-provisioning of the infrastructure.
