Apple Wallet Integration for e-Tickets

Users can now add e-Tickets directly to their Apple Wallet on iPhones. When opening an e-Ticket, a prominent “Add to Apple Wallet” button will appear, allowing users to save their ticket as a "Pass.”

Once added, users can easily access their e-Tickets via their iPhone or Apple Watch. They can present the QR code contained in the Apple Wallet Pass to event staff for scanning upon arrival. Additionally, users have the option to configure the pass to automatically display on their lock screen based on either the Date, Location or a combination of the two.

Since the Apple Wallet Pass is configured within the e-Ticket, multiple e-Tickets with different branding or details can be created for each event.

Key features

  • The "Add to Wallet" button is displayed exclusively to iPhone users (it doesn’t appear on desktops or Android devices) and can be toggled on or off using the “Active” switch.
  • Customers can customise the branding and details of each pass, though the default will display the Jomablue logo and basic event information.
  • Once a pass is added to a person’s wallet, the details will not update automatically. If any changes are made to the branding or other details of the e-Ticket, users must re-add the pass to see those updates. Therefore, ensure all information is accurate before enabling this feature.
  • If a background image is included, it must be a darker colour, as the text on the pass is displayed in white.
  • It is recommended to set the pass to display on the lock screen based on both Date and Location. Otherwise, it may remain visible indefinitely when users are in proximity to the event location.
  • The pass will activate within approximately 1km of the specified coordinates.
  • The pass remains on the lock screen throughout the event. It can’t be removed until the user leaves the area or the event date has passed, though users can delete the pass from their wallet at any time.
